Privacy Policy

Introduction

Elements Training Portal for Voluntary Organisations (‘Elements’) is a partnership between three charities: Connected Voice, North Tyneside VODA and Northumberland CVA. All three charities act as Joint Controllers for the purposes of administering Elements and each has a legitimate interest in processing personal information to help fulfil their charitable aims and objectives. Each charity has their own overarching Privacy Policy, which can be found on their websites (see the bottom of this page)

This Privacy Policy tells you what to expect when Elements collects personal information. It governs the manner in which personal information is collected from its users (each a ‘student’), and how it is used, maintained and otherwise processed.  This Privacy Policy applies to Elements and all courses offered by Elements.

Personal identification information

We may collect personal identification information from students in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when students enrol in Elements or in a course within Elements, when they subscribe to receive emailed updates, and in connection with other activities, services, features, or resources we make available in Elements.

Students may visit Elements anonymously and we will collect personal identification information from students only if they voluntarily submit such information to us.  Students can refuse to supply personal identification information but doing so may prevent them from engaging in certain Elements-related activities.

How we use collected information

Elements may collect and use students’ personal identification information for the following purposes:

  • To personalize user experience: We may use information in the aggregate to understand how our students, as a group, use the services and resources provided in Elements.
  • To send periodic emails: We may use student email addresses to send them information and updates related to their account with us.  Email addresses may also be used to respond to student inquiries, questions, or other requests.
